Biography
I am a Social Anthropologist with more than 12 years experiences in the field of migration, asylum, human trafficking, gender and public health. Since earning my doctorate in 2010, I have divided my career between research, teaching and international development. I worked for research institutions in Germany, for the European Union, the US and Italy as well as for international development cooperation among others IOM and UNFPA. I consider myself as able to work independent and in a self-motivated manner. At the same time, I enjoy to supervise teams and perform as coordinator and trainer. I possess strong skills in presenting arguments thanks to regular presentations and publications in English and German and occasionally also in French. My personal skills include strong communication skills and intercultural knowledge to react appropriately in a variety of cultural settings. PhD Social Anthropology, Free University Berlin, Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research, Germany, My PhD thesis, on Cameroonian migrants in Germany, examines the interplay of transnational mobility, family and kinship among migrants and the overarching legal framework of immigration and integration.
