Biography
Francis Mwanza is a communications specialist working for the world’s largest humanitarian agency, the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) - saving lives in emergencies and changing lives for millions through sustainable development. WFP works in more than 80 countries around the world, feeding people caught in conflict and disasters, and laying the foundations for a better future. Francis is currently head of WFP London Office, spearheading communications and advocacy activities with UK legislators, Think Tanks and media Previously, he was chief of communications at WFP HQ in Rome. He has worked for the United Nations development and humanitarian agencies for 30 years. He is a former journalist and correspondent for international publications and feature syndication services, focusing on development issues, including science and technology.
