Description

Ian Scoones is a Professorial Research Fellow with the Knowledge, Technology and Society team at the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex, UK. He is Co-Director of the new ESRC-funded Social Technological and Environmental Pathways to Sustainability (STEPS) Centre. An agricultural ecologist by training, he has worked extensively on institutional and policy issues relating to agriculture and livelihoods. His most recent book is Science, Agriculture and the Politics of Policy: The Case of Biotechnology in India (Orient Longman, 2006)
