Description
I am a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who hails from Kabba Kingdom in Kogi State, Central Region of the country. I had both my elementary and high school education at St. Mary’s Primary school and St. Augustine’s College respectively at my place of birth; Kabba Kingdom. A graduate of Educational Guidance and Counseling and presently in the process of completing my Master Degree in Industrial and Labour Relations both at the University of Ilorin, I have a professional background in Human Resource Management and Strategic Management. I have some published and unpublished research works in education, human resource management and industrial relations. I have also presented papers as resource person on the aforementioned fields at seminars, workshops and conferences. Base on my personally philosophy and ideology on human capital development and dignity, I am labour cum human right activist who have over the years be in the vanguard for the liberation of the oppressed and downtrodden. Had participated in various struggle and movements to demand for free and qualitative education, enthronement of democracy, better working conditions, respect for fundamental rights and social justice amongst others. Also, I have been involved in advocacy programmes that bother on education for all, humanitarian and human development issues, health, food security, environmental sustainability, youth empowerment, peace and sustainable development. I am a member of some professional bodies and civil society organizations such as Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria, Committee for Workers’ International, Socialist Workers League amongst others. I am currently the Faculty Officer at the Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies; an academic, training and research Institute established by the Federal Government of Nigeria to provide labour education through capacity development and academic programmes. I carry out functions covering administrative, research, training and academic.
