Dr. Michael J. Williams is a Professor of Management in the Department of Marketing, Management and Operations, David. B. O’Maley College of Business at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. He has been with Embry-Riddle since 1984 and his academic areas of expertise include information systems, radio frequency identification (RFID), intermodal transportation, and aviation maintenance management. Dr. Williams holds a Ph.D. in Computer Technology from Nova Southeastern University, and a Masters of Aviation Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Certifications include: Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), FAA A&P Mechanic, FAA Part 107 sUAS, and CompTIA RFID+. His research interests include: aircraft maintenance, aviation management, radio frequency identification (RFID), information systems, and intermodal transportation systems. Dr. Williams’ work has appeared in such publications as the Journal of Air Transportation, World Review of Science, Technology & Sustainable Development, World Review of Intermodal Transportation Research, Multimodal Transport Security: Frameworks and Policy Applications in Freight and Passenger Transport, and the International Journal of Aviation, Aeronautics, and Aerospace.
