Biography
Vangelis Tzouvelekas holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from the Department of Rural Studies of The University of Wales at Aberystwyth, U.K. and is currently Professor of Microeconomics at the Department of Economics of the University of Crete. He has participated in a number of European and Greek research projects in the field of Agricultural Economics and Regional Economic Development. He has published more than forty papers in both international and Greek journals collected volumes and proceedings, he has presented more than forty papers in international and Greek conferences, and he has authored two books. His research interest include the analysis of productivity and efficiency, the econometrics of panel data, stochastic frontier modeling, and regional economic development.
