Biography
Yousif Abdalla Abakar is a Professor at the University of Nottingham in Malaysia. Prof Abakar studied at the University of Khartoum (Sudan)(1987), the International Islamic University (Malaysia) and the University of Nottingham (UK). He has worked in different research and academic institutions in Sudan and Malaysia. Prof Abakar has a wide research interest in energy conversion fundamentals and applications, thermodynamics and heat transfer, he is teaching Aerospace Propulsion Systems and has published his research outcomes on the scoop performance and efficiency in aero engine lubrication systems. He is also interested in renewable energy and small energy recovery systems. His research interest has extended to biofuel production for aerospace, Biomass Pyrolysis and Gasification as well as energy efficient cooking stoves and thermoacoustic and thermoelectric engines associated with cooking stoves and cooling devices, recently he has developed an interest in impedance pumps and valve-less pumping systems.
