Biography
Professor Dr. Hassan El Subki Khalid is a renowned Sudanese pharmacognosist and academic leader with over four decades of experience in pharmaceutical education and natural products research. He holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacognosy from the University of Khartoum and currently serves as Dean of the Faculty of Clinical Pharmacy at Ibn Sina University. Formerly a professor and department head at the University of Khartoum and director of the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Research Institute, he has supervised more than 60 postgraduate theses and acted as an external examiner for 75 candidates. He has published extensively on medicinal plants, pharmacology, and ethnopharmacology. Professor Khalid serves on national and international scientific and regulatory bodies, including the Sudan Medical Council and the National Medicines and Poisons Board. He is also a recognized expert in African Standards for the Harmonization of African Traditional Medicine (ATM), contributing significantly to policy, education, and scientific development across the continent.
