Dr Carlos Lara (Instituto Tecnico Superior Especializado) Panama

Dr. Carlos Allan Boya Lara is an Adjunct Researcher at the Centro de Investigación e Innovación Educativa, Ciencia y Tecnología (CIIECYT) and a faculty member at the Instituto Tecnico Superior Especializado (ITSE) in Panama. A National Researcher (SNI) in Electrical, Electronic, and Automation Engineering, he has over 15 years of experience in applied research, innovation, and engineering education. His work spans artificial intelligence, high-voltage systems, educational robotics, and renewable energy, with a strong focus on embodied learning and inclusive STEM education. He has led national projects with funding exceeding half a million dollars from Panama’s National Secretariat for Science, Technology and Innovation (SENACYT), addressing sustainable energy, intelligent asset maintenance, and inclusive technical education. Dr. Boya has published in high-impact journals across education, AI, and engineering, and serves as a reviewer for top-tier international journals. His mission is to empower youth through practical, inclusive, and low-cost innovation, computational thinking, and technology-driven solutions for sustainable development.
