Biography
Thiri is a Master’s candidate in Development Planning, Management and Innovation (DPMI) at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, and a recipient of the ADB–Japan Scholarship Program. She earned her Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in International Relations from the University of Mandalay, Myanmar, and also studied as an exchange student at the University of Cambodia, Phnom Penh, funded by the EU SHARE Scholarship Program. Her professional background includes experience in the development sector, notably as a Research Fellow at the School of Public Policy, Chiang Mai University, and as a Program Officer (Research) at Non-Governmental Organizations. In these roles, she worked on governance, higher education, and community driven development. Her current research focuses on refugee livelihoods, vulnerability, and conflict transformation, particularly among displaced communities. She aims to bridge academic research with policy practice to promote sustainable development and inclusive governance in conflict affected contexts.
