Biography
My name is Shahd Mahmoud, and I hold a degree in Business Administration from the University of Sohar, where I became the first student in six years to graduate with a remarkable CGPA of 4.0/4.0. Shortly after graduation, I was invited to join the university’s Research and Innovation Department to contribute to a national project funded by the Oman Ministry of Higher Education, titled “Mapping Current Digital Skills and Future Demand.” This experience allowed me to strengthen my research capabilities and contribute to a project of national importance.
I am currently a Research Assistant at Sohar University, where I assist in designing research studies, conducting data collection, performing statistical analysis, and presenting findings at academic conferences. In 2023, I also served as Chief Community Organizer for the Sohar Research Conference (SURC7), building strong connections between academia and society.
Passionate about innovation and social impact, my long-term ambition is to design AI-powered health insurance solutions to improve healthcare access in Sudan, in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
