  • Established experience in plant breeding and genetics
  • Collaboration with international organization and Universities such as IAEA, ICARDA, UNEP, FAO and several universities in Europe, USA, Japan etc.
  • Bureau member of the United Nation Convention of Biological Diversity (CBD) and Biosafety protocol during 2008-2010.
  • Outstanding Achievement Award from UNEP 2004, Government of Sudan 2005 and IAEA in 2014 and 2020.
  • Released 4 varieties of Bt cotton, 3 wheat and 3 watermelon
  • Over 60 referred publications and 5 books
  • About 25 PhD and MSc students and more than 50 short term fellows at IAEA and more than 50 International consultancies for project reviews and training.
  • Director of Cereal Research Centre (2006-2009), and Director of the Biosafety and Biotechnology Research Centre (2009-2012) ARC, Sudan.
