Biography

Hend Ghazzai obtained her PhD in applied mathematics in 2007 from the University of Paris 1, Panthéon-Sorbonne. She started then her career as assistant professor first at the College of Business and Economics at Qatar University before moving to the South Mediterranean University, Mediterranean School of Business in 2016. She was promoted to the rank of full professor in 2024. Her main research interests are industrial organization, environmental economics and development economics. She has worked on different research axes linked to vertical product differentiation: (1) Vertical differentiation and consumption externalities, (2) environmental quality and ecolabels, (3) Voting on Economic issues and finally (4) development economics.
