Biography

Dr. Isameldin M. H. Izzeldin graduated from University of Khartoum, Sudan in 1994 (MBBS). Medically trained in Sudan, moved to Saudi Arabia, Neurology Residency at Tertiary Neuroscience Center in Riyadh. Moved to the UK in 1999, taking various posts in Medicine and Neurology and obtained (MRCP-UK). A Neurology Specialist Registrar, serving at Hull Royal Infirmary training of Yorkshire Deanery, University of Leeds. A Clinical Research Fellow at University of Strathclyde, completing research project on Electrophysiology of the Spinal Cord Injury (PhD in Bioengineering). Joined the Oxford Teaching Hospitals as Clinical Neurophysiology Specialist Registrar training at the Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board (PMETB) in Oxford (CCT). Served the NHS in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology, acquiring fellowships of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of Glasgow (FRCPSG) and Edinburgh (FRCPE), becoming Royal College Examiner for the PACES, MRCP-UK. Serving as Associate Professor of Medicine, University of Khartoum in Sudan (2009 – 2012), contributed in Undergraduate Medical Education, Curriculum Reviews, Examinations’ Standards and Medical Professionalism. Served as the Academic Secretary of the Sudanese Society of Neurosciences (SSNS), contributed to Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology Services and published in journals. Currently, he is a serving Consultant Neurologist at Southampton Hospital University, Southampton, UK.
