Biography
Dr. Khellon Q. Roach has over 13 years’ experience in higher education administration and research management. In his role as Assistant Director of The CRIB, he supports research initiatives, participates in effective relationship management, and provides guidance and direction in the areas of strategic planning, financial management and project administration.
Prior to taking up his current role at the University of Toronto, he served as the first Manager of Academic Quality Assurance in the Office of the Vice President, Academics at triOS/Eastern College. In this capacity, he supported the strategic priority of the College related to quality assurance in eleven Campuses across three Provinces – Ontario, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Other appointments include first Manager of the Diplomatic Academy of the Caribbean, Part-Time Lecturer at the Institute of International Relations, and Research Officer in the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor and Campus Principal at The University of the West Indies.
Dr. Roach has published in international journals and has co-authored 2 books including, “A History of the Institute of International Relations: 50 Years and Beyond 1966 – 2016”, and “Vision. Passion. Action – Selected Speeches of Clement K. Sankat, Pro Vice-Chancellor & Campus Principal, The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus 2008-2016”. He is also the recipient of various awards as a result of his personal passion, dedication and commitment to excellence. In 2015, he received an Employee and Service Excellence Award from The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus which was largely attributed to supporting the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor and Campus Principal. He also received a Leadership Award from the Institute for the Study of International Development, McGill University in 2012 in recognition of outstanding leadership and commitment to international development.
Dr. Roach holds a Doctorate in International Relations from The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, Trinidad and Tobago and an Executive Certificate in International Development from McGill University, Canada.
