Biography
Dr Magda Sadig is an Associate Professor of Applied Economics and the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Finance and Banking Studies at Sudan International University. With over 35 years of teaching experience at both graduate and postgraduate levels across the Sudanese Universities. She specializes in applied economy with special emphasis on Knowledge Economy, Sustainable Development-Zero-Carbon Economy, and Circular Economy, besides her extended experience in academic program development and capacity building and training. Dr Magda after graduating from the University of Khartoum in 1986 worked with many NGOs with displacees in shanty areas and with refugees in camp areas in Eastern Sudan (Sudan Red Crescent, Sudan Sudan Fertility Control Association, American Embassy, Concern Ireland) as a project coordinator, relief officer, development officer, and researcher) From 2023 following her displacement to Egypt due to Sudan's war she participated in training hundreds of displaced students in the field of entrepreneurship and Freelancing. Dr Magda has a great interest in scientific research, she is also a reviewer and arbitrator for some national and international scientific journals. She is fluent in Arabic, English with a fair knowledge of Amheric and Swedish languages.
