Biography
Chin Man Yee is a PhD candidate in Biology and Biochemistry at the University of Nottingham Malaysia. Her PhD project research on how polyethylene terephthalate (PET) microplastics impact organisms at multiple biological levels, from whole organism to organ function, and subsequently to enzyme activity. She has been awarded a research grant to support her work, which aims to better explore strategies for microplastic remediation. Her work aligns with global efforts to protect ecosystems and public health, addressing urgent challenges in plastic pollution. Beyond her research, she enjoys learning about diverse ways other scientists approach their fields of study.
