Sahar Abuelbashar (Elsevier) UK

Sahar is a Solutions Account Manager, partnering with academic and government organisations in Northern England and the Midlands to advance their research strategies using Elsevier’s Research Intelligence solutions. Previously a Research Intelligence Customer Consultant, she has worked extensively with institutions across Southern England, Greece, Malta, and Cyprus. Before joining Elsevier, Sahar was a Research Metrics Analyst at the University of Sussex, where she promoted tools like SciVal to support research strategy. In 2018, she collaborated with librarians in Ghana and Cameroon on a study examining external factors influencing African scholarly research landscapes. From 2016 to 2018, Sahar served on the JISC Lis-Bibliometrics Committee, contributing to discussions on research metrics and evaluation.
