Biography
Professor Timothy M Shaw holds a masters degree from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda from the late-1960s & a Princeton PhD from the mid-1970s. He has been a student of the continent for over four decades including serving as visiting faculty in Uganda (MUST & MUBS), South Africa (Stellenbosch & Rhodes), Nigeria, Zambia & Zimbabwe. After three decades of teaching at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, he has directed the Institute of Commonwealth Studies at the University of London & Institute of International Relations at the University of the West Indies over the last decade. He is the Editor of the International Political Economy (IPE) Series &IPE of New Regionalisms Series. He is a Professor Emeritus, University of London; Visiting Professor, Mbarara University of Science & Technology & Makerere University Business School Uganda & Stellenbosch University, South Africa and Senior Fellow, Centre for International Governance Innovation, Waterloo, Canada.
