Biography
Benefiting from compulsory education and college entrance examination policies, Lucia had a spanned education experience in both Gansu, an underdeveloped region in China, and Shanghai, a global metropolis, allowing her to witness stark education disparities and recent gender issues, such as extra training in computer programming and robotics design for quality education and women discriminations. Striving to address education and gender gaps both her hometown and similarly underdeveloped areas, she enrolled in the LLB program in Sociology at Shanghai University, acquiring high proficiency in social-economic understanding and data analysis software, including R, Stata, and Python. These explorations solidified her academic interest in Sustainable Education Policy and women empowerment in the deprived area.
She is steadfast in her aspirations to function as a data-driven policy analyst and consultant in NGOs or government agencies for gender equality development. Specifically, She will dedicate myself to designing, implementing, and managing progressive initiatives that are aimed at creating better development spaces and environments for cisgender females and the LGBTQ+ community. She is also eager to network with corresponding organizations and institutions to transcend cultural boundaries and embody gender inclusivity.
