Biography
Prof. Ruchi Gupta is an experienced educationist, researcher and author, having more than two decades of teaching experience at University of Delhi, India. She is currently working as a Professor at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, University of Delhi, India.
Dr Gupta has presented her research papers in the field of Marketing, Digital Marketing and Advertising at many Indian and international forums. Many of her research papers are published in journals of national and international repute (ABDC, Emerald, Scopus). Three of her recent papers are listed in WHO COVID-19 repository.
She was the Keynote Speaker and the Conference Chair at a conference held at the Queens College, University of Oxford (UK) in August, 2018. She was also the session chair at a conference organised by the European Advertising Academy in Slovenia in 2016, IPAG Business School in France in 2019, K. J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research, Mumbai in 2019, among others.
She has also given editorial assistance and has reviewed research papers for a number of journals and international conferences, including ABDC (including ABDC-A) journals like International Journal of Consumer Studies, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, etc. and conferences organized by the European Advertising Academy and European Marketing Academy.
She has been invited as a speaker and resource person for a number of talks, webinars, FDPs and MDPs on various aspects of marketing, digital marketing and advertising by many institutes of repute.
Prof. Gupta has authored three books on Advertising and one book on Marketing. As an educator, Dr Ruchi Gupta believes in using innovative teaching techniques and using real life case studies to teach her students. In the year 2005, she was identified by a popular English daily (The Times of India) as one of the most popular teachers in Delhi University, based on a student survey. Prof. Ruchi Gupta is also the recipient of ICBM-AMP Academic Excellence Award 2017 in the category of ‘Best Professor in Advertising’ for her contribution to academics and research.
Prof. Gupta believes that every day is a learning day in the life of an academician.
