Biography
Salem Alrakah is an accomplished Project Control Lead and sustainability advocate, with over 15 years of professional experience managing high-value, cross-functional projects in global organizations. He holds a Master of Science in Information Systems from Hawaii Pacific University and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®).
Salem currently leads project control operations at Nokia, overseeing full-cycle project execution, financial closure, and stakeholder alignment on complex, multimillion-SAR initiatives. His leadership has consistently driven successful outcomes in alignment with business goals and international standards.
In parallel with his corporate role, Salem has served since January 2022 as the Country Manager for Saudi Arabia with the World Association for Sustainable Development (WASD). In this role, he contributes to the SDGs Universities Initiative (SDGsUNi), fostering collaboration among universities and research institutions to advance the United Nations 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). His work supports the engagement of Saudi Arabia’s academic institutions in global sustainability efforts, particularly empowering youth as digital natives in the knowledge economy.
