Description
Dr. Jana Arbeiter is a Researcher Fellow and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences (University of Ljubljana). Her research interests are in the field of development studies, especially sustainable development and sustainable development goals, international development cooperation and conceptualization of development in the 21st century. She is leading the interdisciplinary pilot project "Training program for a green and digital transition to a sustainable society - a set of interdisciplinary modules with microcredentials" (a project under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan). Her activities extend beyond the national academic environment. In addition to regular scientific publications in foreign journals, she is also very active in international networks. She is currently a member of the management committee of Cost Action (Decolonization of Development), which aims to reorganize and diversify the actors, structures, institutions and spaces in which knowledge about development emerges. She is an active member of the European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes (EADI), the Southeast European Knowledge Exchange Partnership Bridge 47, which works on the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 4.7, and a member of the EU Policy Working Group 4.7, which works on the SDGs through the prism of Goal 4.7.
