Biography
Dr. Maysa Gaidoum is an Assistant Professor at the National Center for Research (NCR) in Sudan and a part-time lecturer at Sudan University of Science and Technology (SUST). She holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Sakarya University, Turkey, and specializes in renewable energy, artificial intelligence, electronics engineering, and sustainable development. Her research focuses on AI-based wind speed forecasting, solar radiation modeling, and smart energy systems, contributing to SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and SDG 13 (Climate Action).
Dr. Gaidoum is also a passionate advocate for women in STEM (SDG 5), actively mentoring young researchers and promoting inclusive innovation in science and engineering. She supports the reconstruction and development of Sudan through research, education, and collaboration with national and international institutions. Her commitment to using science and technology for positive societal impact makes her a leading figure in Sudan’s scientific community and a contributor to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
