Biography
Dr. Miguel Ángel Esbrí Montoliú is a professor and researcher at the University of Panama and a member of Panama’s National Research System. He holds a doctorate in civil law from Universitat Jaume I in Spain and has completed executive education at Stanford University, UC Berkeley, IESE Business School, Universidad de Barcelona, and Columbia University. His work connects law, public policy, education, and sustainable development, with particular interests in inclusive education, vocational training, arbitration, innovation, and responsible governance. Previously, he served as Executive Secretary for Competitiveness, Economy and Logistics in Panama’s Presidency and chaired the National Research System’s governing council. He has worked with international partners on educational inclusion, institutional reform, and cooperation across Latin America and Europe. An author of two books on arbitration and numerous academic articles, he brings experience in research, teaching, and public service to practical and inclusive efforts advancing equitable opportunities, stronger institutions, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
