Biography
Prof. Siska Mayasari Lubis is a senior academic and clinician in the field of Pediatric Endocrinology, with extensive experience in the care and research of children and adolescents with endocrine and metabolic disorders. Her primary scholarly interests include obesity, diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders, pubertal disorders, growth, and bone metabolism, and the translation of clinical data into strategies that improve patient outcomes and health system performance.
Her research focuses on biomarkers, clinical phenotyping, and outcome-oriented approaches to the management of pediatric endocrinology disorders, with particular attention to sustainable care models in low- and middle-income settings. She has contributed to clinical research, guideline-informed practice, and educational initiatives aimed at strengthening the capacity of healthcare professionals and empowering families in chronic disease management.
Professor Lubis actively engages with national and international professional communities and aligns her academic work with evidence-based recommendations from leading organizations, including International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD), Endocrinology Working Group - Indonesian Pediatrics Society, and Asia Pacific Paediatric Endocrine Society (APPES). Her long-term mission is to advance equitable, high-quality pediatric endocrine care in Indonesia through research excellence, clinical leadership, and academic mentorship.
