Biography

Dr. Seperia Bwadene Wanyama is a researcher and Human Resource Management and Organizational Development specialist with over 25 years of experience in academia, public service, humanitarian organizations, and institutional development. He holds a PhD and MSc in Human Resource Management from the University of Stirling, UK, a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration from Uganda Management Institute, and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Makerere University. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management, Strategic Leadership, and Organizational Development at Makerere University, and with vast experience in other countries like UK, Germany, Austria, Tanzania, Sierra Leone, and Rwanda. He previously served as Head of Graduate Programmes and Research in the School of Business, where he coordinated research agendas, graduate research supervision, curriculum development, and research dissemination initiatives. Seperia has extensive expertise in research, programme evaluation, data management, and policy analysis. He has managed large-scale databases, conducted numerous evaluations and baseline studies, and produced policy-relevant reports and peer-reviewed publications. He is proficient in both quantitative and qualitative research methods and analytical software. Beyond academia, Seperia has served in senior leadership positions in government and the humanitarian sector, including Assistant Chief Administrative Officer, Supervisor of Computer Operations and Personnel Officer in the Ministry of Public Service, and Head of Human Resources and Administration, Head of Fundraising and Resource Mobilization, and Managing Director at the Uganda Red Cross Society. Seperia has undertaken high-level consultancy assignments for government ministries, development agencies, and international organizations, such as the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development, DAI Global, Development Pathways UK, CDC-Uganda and UNHCR partner organizations in collaboration with PKF Consulting, providing technical expertise in research, organizational effectiveness, programme evaluation, and institutional strengthening. Seperia Bwadene Wanyama combines academic excellence, practical leadership experience, and strong research capability, making him a highly respected expert in human resource management, organizational development, institutional strengthening, and evidence-based policy and practice.
