Dr Eimad Abusham (Sohar University) Oman

Dr. Eimad Eldin Abdu Ali Abusham is an Associate Professor in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at Sohar University, Oman, where he has served since 2013. He holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology from Multimedia University (2011), an MSc from University Putra Malaysia (2001), and a Bachelor’s degree from Sudan University of Science and Technology (1997). His research focuses on Artificial Intelligence, with expertise in computer vision, biometrics, pattern recognition, deep learning, and data science. Dr. Abusham has published extensively in indexed journals and conferences and earned multiple research grants and awards, including a patent on driver drowsiness detection (2020). He has supervised Master’s and Ph.D. students, contributed to curriculum design, and led academic committees. Beyond research, he actively organizes workshops for schools, universities, and government institutions, promoting innovation, big data analytics, and AI applications in education, industry, and society.
