Biography
Dr. Mahmood Al-Bahri is a dedicated scholar specializing in Systems, Networks, and Info-communication Devices. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Networks Engineering and Telecommunication Systems from St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications, where he later completed his Ph.D. in IoT device identification methodologies.
Dr. Al-Bahri has held academic positions in Oman and currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Sohar University. He is the Coordinator of the Computing and Multimedia Program, Chair of the Cybersecurity Program’s Founding Committee, and Editor-in-Chief of the journal SUJEITI. He is also an Associate Fellow of AFHEA.
Dr. Al-Bahri has published more than 30 Scopus-indexed papers and authored the Arabic book An Introduction to the Internet of Things. He has supervised numerous undergraduate research projects and received the University President’s Award for Distinguished Teaching for the academic year 2024–2025.
