Biography
Dana B. Copeland, MBA and DBA in Healthcare Management candidate, is President and Owner of Performance Medical, a Phoenix-based healthcare device and education company specializing in advanced medical technologies for hospitals and clinical settings. She focuses on neonatal neurological development and respiratory care, delivering simulation-based education and Continuing Education programs for nurses, respiratory therapists, and other clinicians.
Additional work emphasizes innovative solutions that strengthen infection prevention, quality, and safety while reducing hospital-acquired infections and improving staff and patient satisfaction. She serves as a consultant to both medical device companies and healthcare providers, supporting the clinical implementation of innovative technologies that enhance patient care and safety.
Previously, Dana held leadership roles with Mayo Foundation/Hospitals, Stryker, Masimo, Smiths Medical, and MEDIQ PRN, guiding capital equipment decisions, health-system contracting, and regional operations. Dana is the mother of two sons, who were born prematurely, and a long-time March of Dimes advocate.
