Biography
Dr. Mai works as Assistant Professor of Political Science in the British University in Egypt and acted as the Political Science Postgraduate Programme Director between 2023 and 2025. Before joining the BUE she worked as Visiting Lecturer at University of Birmingham, UK.
Before joining academia, Dr. Mai cultivated experience in the field of development and international cooperation through her work for different UN agencies as well as for the Ministry of International Cooperation in Egypt.
Dr. Mai has a wide range of teaching experience in the fields of International Political Economy, Political Theory, Research Methods, Political Analysis and International Relations.
Her research interests lie currently in the fields of International Political Economy and Technology/AI.
