Biography
Professor Dr. Ozcan Saritas is the Director of the Future Foresight and Strategic Planning Center at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Dubai and a Member of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Public Administration (CEPA). He is a global expert in Systemic Foresight Methodology (SFM) and anticipatory governance, focusing on how strategic foresight can strengthen inclusive public administration and mitigate emerging structural risks of exclusion.
Professor Saritas specializes in leveraging Agentic AI, big data analytics, and digital platforms to drive participatory governance and accessible public services. His extensive work with international bodies includes developing future skills and employment frameworks for rural youth with the UNDP, advising UN DESA on scenario metrics for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and guiding multilateral institutions like the OECD, UNIDO, and the European Commission toward digitally agile governance models. He serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Foresight and holds a Ph.D. in Foresight and Prospective Studies from the Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester.
