Biography
Amir Lebdioui is currently pursuing his PhD in Development Studies at the University of Cambridge. His research examines industrial policy to pursue structural transformation and economic diversification strategies in natural resource-rich countries.
He has led and contributed to several reports, research projects, consultancies, and workshops for different international institutions (such as UNDP, the European Union, the World Bank), governments, a global information company as well as a national oil company. He has also contributed the drafting of a guiding template for legislation for the mining of Development Minerals under the auspices of the African Union, Africa Mining Legislation Atlas and the ACP-EU programme, in order to reclaim the major role that these minerals can play in Africa's economic development.
