Biography
Huda Mohamed Mukhtar is an Associate professor at the Department of Econometrics and Social Statistics, Faculty of Economic and Social Studies, University of Khartoum. She has been teaching many academic courses at both under- and post-graduate levels at different academic institutions in Sudan on statistics, demography, research methodology, population and development, population policy, and other issues. She supervised and examined many under- and post-graduate dissertations/ theses. These were in addition to a considerable two-decade research experience via the involvement in a number of research projects and consultancy work with UN agencies and national institutions. She participated in a number of surveys on various topics, such as: “Environmental Survey” and “Socioeconomic Survey” both conducted in Lake Nubia/Naser, “Socio-Cultural Impacts of Internal Migration in Khartoum State”, Barriers to Family Planning in Sudan: The Case of White Nile, Kassala and Al-Gadarif State in 2008, “Socioeconomic and Demographic Determinants of Demand

for Delivery Services in Sharg-alnil Rural Areas in 2005” and “Determinants of Demand for Delivery Services in Sudan: An Empirical Investigation with Reference to Khartoum State, 2004”.
