Biography
Prof. C.A.KALPANA is the Deputy Dean, School of Home Science and Professor in Food Science and Nutrition, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, India.
She has 27 years of teaching and research experience with a specialization in Community Nutrition,Adolescent Nutrition, Obesity, Vitamin D, Nutraceuticals and Functional foods, Millet Research, Nutrigenomics, Gut Microbiome, Animal model studies, Digital Health Technologies, Application of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Nutrition research. She has authored book on Childhood Obesity and has to her credit 10 book chapters and 47 publications.
Prof Kalpana is a Member of the American Society for Nutrition and World Obesity Federation and has visited several countries including USA, Malaysia, Indonesia and Sri Lanka on academic visits. She has 2 patents published, funded projects , organised International conferences and was a speaker in many conferences.
Prof Kalpana has a networking in research and academics at International Level.
