Biography
As Vice-President of Instituto Melhores Dias, she has led large-scale school health and nutrition programmes across more than 75 municipalities in Brazil, with expertise in monitoring and evaluation, nutritional surveillance, NCD prevention, Planetary Health, food security and public policy implementation. She has contributed to peer-reviewed publications and serves as Manager of the NCD Community at the Global Health Hub Germany.
Gabriela Pen Nasser is a social scientist and public health specialist, she holds an MSc in Global Urban Health from the same institution, where she has convened the Advanced Module on Non-Communicable Diseases since 2021. She is currently completing a PhD in Public Health Nutrition at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg (Germany).
