Biography
Faisal Ismail Musa Osman serves as a Lecturer at the Department of Forestry, Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources, University of Blue Nile, Sudan. Faisal is pursuing his Ph.D. in Forestry at Mizoram University, India, under the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Africa Scholarship Scheme. He holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Forestry
from the University of Kordofan, Sudan (2021), where he specialized in NWFP value chains and sustainable forest management. He obtained his Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons.) in Forestry from the University of Bahri, Sudan (2018), graduating with Class One Honours and earning academic excellence recognition. Faisal has gained hands-on experience through volunteer roles, including serving as a research assistant at the IGARDS and as a teaching assistant at the University of Kordofan. He has completed numerous professional trainings in GIS, remote sensing, SPSS, R programming, monitoring and evaluation, and scientific proposal writing. He is the recipient of multiple academic awards for best oral presentations at international and national conferences in India, and his research has been published in over 20 peer-reviewed journals. Faisal is proficient in statistical including SPSS, Origin, and Jamovi. He is known for his strong
interdisciplinary research, data analysis skills, and commitment to advancing sustainable forestry and ecological resilience in arid and semi-arid landscapes.
