Biography
My name is Jasmin Shizuka Coates and I'm a student based in Tokyo, studying Sustainable Education, with a particular focus on lifelong learning and rewinding - two areas I believe will become increasingly important over the next two decades especially with the context of open access to AI. This interest in education formed overtime, but a major moment for me was during COVID, when I experienced first hand the complexities of equitable digital education. This experience eventually led me to art school in London, where I encountered radically open and flexible approach to learning. My combined experienced shaped my understanding of education and led me to question what it means beyond the traditional classroom - a topic I will discuss in my presentation.
