Biography
Dr Egbal Ali is a Sudanese medical graduate with a strong interest in public health, disease prevention, and population-level health systems. Her motivation grew through clinical training, research, and lived experience within fragile health contexts in Sudan. During her medical studies in Khartoum, she was actively involved in peer education, supporting junior students through informal teaching and academic mentoring. She also completed undergraduate research on COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy among university students, earning distinction and deepening her interest in how trust, communication, and social factors influence health outcomes. Clinical training in Sudan and leadership as a Chief intern in Saudi Arabia exposed her to diverse healthcare systems. It reinforced her commitment to prevention-focused public health, particularly in communicable and vector-borne diseases such as malaria. Egbal is passionate about languages and international engagement; she is a native Arabic speaker, fluent in English, holds a French B1 diploma, and has working knowledge of Spanish. She values multicultural environments that foster collaboration, learning, and sustainable impact.
