Biography
Dr Danish Ali Ahmed is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at the Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST), Kuwait. His research expertise lies in mathematical biology, with a focus on population dynamics, animal movement, biological invasions, and ecological modelling. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles and a book chapter, with his work appearing in leading journals such as Global Change Biology and Biological Reviews, and has received more than 1,500 citations. Dr Ahmed earned his PhD in Mathematics from the University of Leicester (UK) and his MSci from Imperial College London (UK). His research has been recognised with awards including GUST’s Distinguished Faculty Research Award. He has held academic positions in the UK, Saudi Arabia, and the Netherlands, and maintains active collaborations with leading research groups worldwide. In addition to his research, he serves as Associate Editor for Frontiers in Ecology and Evolution.
