Biography
Angus Rennie facilitates UN-Business collaboration at the UN Global Compact, the world's largest responsible business initiative. In addition to a portfolio involving a broad range of partnership-brokering activities with Global Compact participant companies, UN partners and other stakeholders, Angus coordinates a UN network of more than 100 staff focused on strengthening the capacity of the Organization to engage the private sector, advancing UN issues and goals while promoting responsible and sustainable business. Before joining the UN Global Compact, Angus practiced law in Canada. A graduate of Carleton University and the McGill University Faculty of Law, he has experience in corporate and commercial law, civil litigation, and international criminal law. Angus also served as Special Assistant to the Speaker of Canada’s House of Commons, as a Policy Analyst at the Ontario Legislature, and as an advisor and organizer on numerous Canadian elections and political campaigns.
