Biography
Chiemi KUROKAWA is a Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Sophia University, Japan. She earned her Master's Degree and Ph.D. in Education from Hiroshima University, Japan. Her professional experience includes working for a Japanese private company from 2013 to 2016 and serving as a Political and Economic Attaché at the Embassy of Japan in Sudan from 2017 to 2019. Her current research projects focus on skilled Sudanese migrants and refugees’ drive to contribute to Sudan’s development, school choice among Muslim migrants in the U.S., and challenges Muslim migrants face regarding the school lunch in Japan.
