Biography
Dejan Zupan (Dipl. in Mathematics, 1997; MS Structural Mechanics, 2001; PhD 2003, University of Ljubljana) is professor of mechanics at the Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering, University of Ljubljana. During 1998–2003 he was a Junior Researcher at the Chair of Mechanics, Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering, University of Ljubljana. He has been Assistant Professor since 2004 and Full Professor since 2014. His main research interests are mechanics, numerical methods in structural and civil engineering, spatial structures, finite rotations, strain-objective methods, dynamics, non-linear materials, theory of distributions, stochastic methods and structural safety. He published 40 original scientific papers, including 32 articles in highly ranked journals indexed by SCI database. His scientific work and participation in the international community is recognized by more than 400 citations without self-citations in the period of last ten years.
