Biography
Govind Venuprasad is Coordinator of Supporting Indian Trade and Investment for Africa (SITA), a project funded by the United Kingdom, and implemented by the International Trade Centre (ITC) across Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda. He is also the Coordinator of ITC’s South-South Trade and Investment Programme and Country Manager for India. Govind has served within the United Nation system – ITC in Geneva, and UNDP in Afghanistan – since 1998, specialising in regional trade and investment promotion, South-South cooperation, and exporter competitiveness. Prior to joining the UN system, he worked in the private sector across international trading in commodities, leather, logistics and project syndication. Govind has earned degrees in Social Science and International Business from India and the United Kingdom.
