Biography

Mega Moeharyono Puteri, DDS, Ph.D. is a graduate of Biomedical and Health Sciences at Hiroshima University Japan. She learned about the epidemiology of oral Streptococcus mutans bacteria in children and its transmission. There she analysed the factors that related to the transmission and the virulence of streptococcus mutans bacteria. Streptococcus mutans bacteria is one of the etiologies of high-risk caries incidence which is related to children's oral health. She finished her specialist program in pediatric dentistry at the Faculty of Dental Medicine Universitas Airlangga Indonesia. Dr. Mega has been practicing in the Department of Paediatric Dentistry since 2009 and she also focuses on special care for special needs patients. She became a consultant for special care for children and patients with special needs in 2019. Dr. Mega published several books about how to promote dental health as well as dental management for children in dental offices. Currently, she is working at the Universitas Airlangga Dental Hospital and the World Universities Association for Community Development Airlangga.
