Dr Yassin Hassan (Windsor Forest Colleges Group) UK

Dr Hassan is an educator and researcher whose work is driven by one central aim: empowering young people into the workforce through education and training. He holds a BSc in Business Computing (Leeds Metropolitan University), an MSc in Forensic Computing (University of Bradford), and a PhD from University College London's Institute of Education, specialising in vocational education and training, gender empowerment, and international development. Since 2010, he has built extensive experience in apprenticeships and work-based learning across the UK and Saudi Arabia, including the Colleges of Excellence in Riyadh (2014–2021). He currently teaches and coaches at Windsor Forest Colleges Group and Chichester College Group, and leads labour market integration work with the Trust for Developing Communities in Brighton. An Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and member of SEFI, he has written in English and Arabic on VET systems, women's economic empowerment, and the political economy of skill formation. He is the founder of "Wansah Ala Doroub Al-Najah" (Chats on the Paths to Success), an Arabic-language programme under the Sudanese Researchers Foundation that has featured over sixty guests, with the aim of empowering the young generation to succeed by learning from the journeys and examples of distinguished Sudanese scholars, professionals, and role models.
