Biography
Ms. R. Vinothra Rajendran is a Lecturer (Probationary) in the Department of Human Resource Management, Faculty of Management Studies, at the Open University of Sri Lanka, where she has built a multifaceted academic role spanning teaching, programme leadership, and research. She holds a BBA from the University of Jaffna (2020) and an M.Sc. in Management from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura (2025), completed by a Chartered Qualification in HRM from CIPM Sri Lanka (2025) giving her a strong professional and academic foundation in human resource management.
Her academic career began with an Assistant Lecturer appointment at the University of Jaffna( 2021) , followed by a similar role at the University of Vavuniya (2022), before she joined OUSL first on contract (2023) and then in her current probationary lectureship from October 2023 onward. Over roughly five years in higher education, she has progressively taken on greater responsibility within the HRM department.
Beyond teaching core HRM courses, she serves as the Programme Coordinator for the MBA in Human Resource Management at OUSL, overseeing curriculum delivery, student support, and programme administration for postgraduate HRM learners. She also coordinated the Advanced Certificate in Human Resource Management (ACHRM), a professional certificate programme through which she has organized and facilitated student-focused sessions, including webinars on interview skills and HR career readiness.
Her research interests center on organizational behavior and contemporary HRM themes, including knowledge-hiding behaviour and its links to personality traits such as neuroticism, Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB), and Green Human Resource Management practices supporting sustainable organizational performance.
