Biography
Dr. Hassan Elnour Adam, an expert in GIS and remote sensing for natural resources, has been an associate professor at the University of Kordofan, Sudan, since 2015. Dr. Adam obtained his PhD (Geosciences, 2011) and M.Sc. (Tropical Forestry, 2000) degrees from the Technical University of Dresden, Germany, and B.Sc. (Forestry, 1994) from the University of Khartoum, Sudan. he is the ex-dean of the Faculty of Natural Resources and Environmental Studies, University of Kordofan, ex-director of the Remote Sensing and GIS Center (2022-2023) and ex-director of Administration for Foreign Relations and International Cooperation at the university (2016-2018). Dr. Adam worked as a consultant on many projects and attended many conferences and workshops. He offers a variety of services, including GIS mapping, geospatial analysis, and vector raster conversion using ArcMap, QGIS, ArcGIS Pro, ENVI+IDL, and ERDAS Imagine. He published more than fifty scientific papers in refereed journals.
