Biography

Professor Utomo earned his B.Eng. in Industrial Engineering from ITB (1992), followed by a Master’s and Ph.D. in Decision Science from the Tokyo Institute of Technology (2001). A prolific researcher, he has published in prestigious journals such as IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics and authored chapters for Springer.

Beyond academia, Prof. Utomo is an active consultant for government and private sectors, specializing in negotiation, strategic decision-making, and policy modeling. His research interests include systems thinking, service sciences, and agent-based modeling. He also serves as an editorial board reviewer for several international journals, reflecting his expertise in the global scientific community.
