Biography
Zou Ciyong is the Director of the Department of Programmes, Partnerships and Field Integration of UNIDO. The Department leads the overall coordination of UNIDO’s new business module called the Programme for Country Partnership (PCP). It also coordinates UNIDO partnerships with firms, development finance institutions and multi-lateral funds. The Department maintains effective interactions with Member States in its five regions of coverage (Africa, Arab Region, Asia and the Pacific, Europe and Central Asia and Latin America and the Carribean). Mr. Zou has over 18 years of professional experience in the Ministry of Finance, China, occupying various managerial positions. He was Deputy Director General of the International Department in the Ministry of Finance, China. Mr. Zou, a Chinese national, obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from the Graduate School of Research Institute for Fiscal Science of the Ministry of Finance (MOF), Beijing and his Master degrees in Public Policy and Management at Manchester University in the UK, and in Political Science at the Graduate School of Peking University, Beijing, China.
